TRAINING ON PREVENTION AND MANAGEMENT OF SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND MENTA L HEALTH FOR HIGH SCHOOL TEACHERS

A two day training on Prevention and Management of Substance Abuse and Mental Health was held at I&PR Conference Hall organized by DIET Siaha.  The resource person  Ango Chhachhai shared the topics on importance of Mental health, Common mental disorder and  warning signs. Substance abuse and its harmful effects, and also shared strategies of 10 core life skills recommended by WHO. The other resource person Lalawmpui spoke about Learning disabilities, personality disorder, Childhood and adolescence mental disorder. The overall aim of this training was about to impart necessary knowledge in the field of mental health, Substance abuse and after effects. So that they are able to identify, respond and refer to those who are experiencing and suffering from mental disorder and substance use disorder
